Cabatuan, Iloilo – Cabatuan Overseas Workers and Family Circle Association (COWFCA) gathered on April 3, 2018 at the town’s gymnasium to celebrate their first Municipal Migrants Day.

Considered to be a first in the whole province of Iloilo, COWFCA’s Municipal Migrants Day also featured the inauguration of their association’s projects consisting of two airport service tricycles and a photo booth at the town’s acclaimed playground.

The celebration was spearheaded by Cabatuan Mayor Ronilo Caspe and was graced by Iloilo 3rd District Board Member Lorenz Defensor and PESO Province’s Migration and Development Focal Jayrel Encontro.

Highlights of the event included the drama presentation on the impacts of migration in the family performed by the Jaro Archdiocesan Commission on the Pastoral Care of Migrants and Itinerant (JACMI), forum on business and investment opportunities in cacao, coffee, and banana industry, ratification of the constitution and by-laws of COWFCA, and a raffle courtesy of partner and sponsor companies.
