Over 200 OFW families and beneficiaries gathered in Barotac Nuevo Elementary School gymnasium on March 8, 2018  to form their association and listen to the programs and services of their local government, PESO Iloilo Province, National Reintegration Center for OFWs (NRCO), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration(OWWA), and Atikha.

The activity was spearheaded by Mayor Braeden John Biron along with his PESO manager Ms. Joesel Villanueva and Barotac Nuevo Brgy. PESO Coordinators.

The activity aimed to orient the families and beneficiaries of OFWs in Barotac Nuevo to become aware and avail of the relevant programs and services of national government agencies particularly of the NRCO and OWWA.

The event also became a venue to relay queries and concerns of former OFWs and relatives of OFWs regarding  claims and other assistance .

Following the orientation, participants expressed willingness to form their organization to be assisted by their Brgy. PESO Coordinators.
